Included on every tracker

First year free on all trackers

Every tracker we supply and install comes with its first year of monitoring included, on every option we fit — not just one brand. This is how we sell trackers rather than a limited-time offer, so there is no deadline to catch.

From year two there is a subscription that keeps the monitoring and recovery service running. What it costs depends on which tracker you have, and you can pre-pay a second or third year at the time of fitting — the options are on each tracker's card below.

My freelander had multiple fault warnings popping up and I wasn’t sure what they meant, so I needed a diagnostic scan and report to give my mechanic. Precision Autoworks was incredibly helpful and made the whole process easy. 10/10, highly recommend!!

My car entered a limp mode, restricting my speed to under 10 mph, I contacted Precision Autoworks UK for a mobile diagnosis. Their technician arrived promptly at my home and efficiently identified and resolved the issue. The entire process, from inspection to clearing the faults, took roughly 30 minutes. I was extremely pleased with the fast and effective service.

Thank you to Precision Autoworks UK who I went to for my 2023 VW Golf R tuning for Stage 1. Ishy was very professional and showed me the process step-by-step throughly. We did a live data log before and after which was sent away. We received a custom map, tweaked and tuned specifically for this car. We refined the tune to give it a little bit more aggressive pops and bangs and to increase the torque. The car is now an entirely different beast and I am very happy of how it turned out. 10/10 will recommend to everyone looking to get more gains and power from their cars. Shoutout to Ishy. Legend 😎

Had a Vauxhall Corsa with engine issues for ages, couldn’t figure out what was wrong. Precision Autoworks figured out the issue within 10 minutes using their diagnostics scanner & gave us expert advice, recommending a fix. So professional & efficient, 100% recommend.

Great communication, resolved issues and remap has improved sluggish car, now pleasant to drive. Four stars due to not being able to suggest what to do or where to go in the area for 2.5hrs whilst work was completed. I recommend a walk to a cafe called the kitchen. Thanks

Common questions

Which category does my insurer actually want?

Read the wording they sent you. If it names Category S5, an S7 will not satisfy it. If it names S7, fitting S5 is not wrong but you are paying for more than you were asked for. If it just says "a tracker" with no category, S7 usually covers it. Send us the wording and we will tell you which it means.

What is the difference between a tracker and an immobiliser?

A tracker deals with what happens after the car has gone: it reports position to a monitoring centre so the vehicle can be found. An immobiliser tries to stop it leaving at all, by refusing to let the engine drive away without a PIN. They solve different halves of the problem, which is why the strongest setups fit both.

Do I have to keep paying after the first year?

On tracking, yes. Monitoring is an annual subscription and the cover depends on it staying live — a lapsed subscription means the requirement your insurer set is no longer being met, and insurers do check at claim time. The first year is included in the fitting price. An immobiliser has no subscription at all.

Is Precision Autoworks Thatcham-approved?

No, and neither is anyone else. Thatcham certifies products — the S5 and S7 categories — and runs no installer scheme, so "Thatcham-approved installer" describes something that does not exist. The trackers we fit are certified. We are an authorised installer for ScorpionTrack and for Gecko Track, which is a different and real thing.

Where does the work happen?

At our unit at 85 Bogmoor Road in Glasgow, directly across from the Shieldhall test centre. Fitting a tracker or a covert immobiliser means getting properly into a car's wiring, so it is workshop work rather than something done on a driveway.

How do I get the certificate for my insurer?

The monitoring platform emails it to you once the system is fitted and tested. It comes from them rather than from us, which is why it arrives by email. We test the system live with the monitoring centre before you leave, so what is confirmed is that it reports properly on your car.
